Dear colleagues:
Some of you may have noticed it already, and here is the news for all of you: TC-Forum is now available in the Internet!
Thanks to the generous sponsoring of transline Deutschland Dr.-Ing. Sturz GmbH, our Website is now accessible under the address www.tc-forum.org. Dr. Sturz did not only offer us the Website but also the complete programming service! We owe him lots of thanks.
It has been another example of modern, cross-cultural cooperation: The contents of the pages have been designed by Brigitte Beuttenmüller and myself (both Germany), edited by Ron Blicq and Lisa Moretto (Canada and USA), layouted by Birgit Klink and Mathias Scheurle (both Germany), and programmed by Pit Grad (Poland). We all have enjoyed this project, and we hope you like what we´ve done. Please look into our homepage and let us know what you think of it! We look forward to discussing any improvements with you.
We are still planning to install electronic discussion platforms, too, and we are waiting for someone to volunteer to do that. If you have some experience with this subject and are willing to invest some time for it, please get in touch with me.
Following my call for help in the last issue, I am happy to introduce two new members of the TC-Forum editorial team:
I´m also happy to be able to announce two new sponsors for this issue of TC-Forum:
TC-Forum, as most of you may remember, has emerged as a result of Forum 95, the international conference for technical communicators organized under the auspices of INTECOM. Forum conferences only take place every five years, and TC-Forum is supposed to bridge the gap between this long interval. In this issue you will find the most recent information of the organizing committee of Forum 2000. Place and date have been fixed, and the agreement has been signed by the organizing parties.
I mentioned previously that we would have T-shirts with the TC-Forum logo. Finally, they have arrived and can now be ordered at DM 32,-- plus postage from me. The shirts are black with a small white logo on the left front side, have short sleeves, and are available in sizes S, M, L, and XL. NCPs will get a free shirt for their support! So, please let me have your shirt size.
